This post is based on prompts given on Day 9 of Poetry 101 course of Blogging University. We are required to write a poem on landscape or any of its elements. The poetic device suggested is Apostrophe. It occurs when the speaker in the poem addresses another person or an object (usually personified) directly.
Here’s my take at using Apostrophe for Rain:
The tiny droplets of water,
Emanating from heaven above…
You are a blessing of Almighty,
You are a shower of His love.
This post is in response to the prompts for Day 8 provided by Poetry 101 course of Blogging University. This day’s requirement is to write a poem on “Pleasure” using anaphora or epistrophe. Anaphora is a poetic device that relies on the repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of each verse and epistrophe is the repetition of the same word or phrase at the end of verses.
I have used epistrophe in the below poem:
The exquisite sunrise with chirping birds,
The invigorating sea with covert marine world,
The starlit sky aboding colorful clouds,
The aromatic flowers with leaves abound,
These pleasures are unique,
These pleasures are invaluable!

Today’s post is in response to the Day 4 prompt “Journey” given by Poetry 101 course of Blogging University.
The journey of life began with my first cry in this world…
From mother’s lap to the floor,
From cradle to the door,
With a desire to feel that shining surface,
Where my mother embraced me with such grace,
I started to crawl…I was so enthralled
I touched the white marble with my hands and feet
I licked it to see if it tasted better than milk…
Today I have written the poem based on word and form prompt given on Day 2 of Poetry 101 course of Blogging University. The word provided is “Face” and the device recommended is alliteration. Alliteration is all about using the same consonant multiple times in close proximity.
Sitting silently staring at sea,
Cheerful cherubic child was he,
Ecstatic eyes, expecting eagerly,
Flat fair face framing fantasy.
