About me

Expression is the most basic need

I am a writer, author, editor and artist based in Gurugram, India. I use words and colours to express my thoughts, views, emotions and the world around me.

Writing and art are therapeutic and meditative for me. My calling for writing led me to a new journey in 2016. Being a Postgraduate in Commerce and a Cost and Works Accountant (ICWAI) by qualification, finance was a natural career choice for me, which led me to banking. After almost a decade of a corporate career, I unleashed my creativity when I discovered my love for quilling verses. I am also a Life Coach and an Emotional Intelligence Coach, with a certification from Symbiosis, USA.

Like everything else in life, my writing has also evolved over the years. From inspirational, women-centric, and motivational verses, I found myself traversing an inner journey by exploring the depths of spirituality. My writing became a platform where I could express my questions, learnings and insights that helped me understand and go deeper into the mysteries of the Universe.

I have published three poetry books, all of which have received deep appreciation and love from readers. My first book on inspirational poetry, “Roads–A Journey with Verses”, was published in June 2019. My second book, “The Gift of Self”, which was published in Jan 2025, is a collection of poetry and prose and is deeply rooted in spirituality. My latest work explaining a few of the Gurbani verses was published in Jan 2026. It is titled “Sabr Shukr Sukoon–The Essence of Gurbani”. All the books are available on Amazon.

My writings are published in more than three dozen anthologies at national and international levels.

I have been honoured and awarded by multiple literary and art platforms, including the ALS Wordsmith Award for three consecutive years, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Women Empowerment Award 2018, the Women of Influence Award 2019, Kavi Rabindra Nath Tagore Award 2019, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Award 2021 by Arpita Foundation, Vrindavan. You can find my accolades here.

I am the Editor of the ALSphere Magazine, which is an online literary and arts magazine and an initiative of Asian Literary Society, a community with over 1 lakh members. I have edited and released more than 50 issues of the magazine since March 2022.

My journey as an artist began in 2020, and it became a way of life in no time. Over the last few years, I learned more than forty art forms, including traditional Indian art forms and a few international art forms like Russian, Mexican and African art. Mandala and Zentangle-inspired works are close to my heart. I also enjoy creating Madhubani, Kalamkari, Warli, Saura, Gond, Coffee painting, African art, and mixed media with acrylics and watercolours.

My paintings have been exhibited in the Annual Art Exhibition organised by Asian Literary Society for five consecutive years; at the prestigious Lalit Kala Akademi, Bhubaneswar, in a group exhibition organised in December 2023; in the international exhibition organised by Terrain Biennial, Chicago; at an art exhibition at Lokayata Art Gallery, Hauz Khas, Delhi; and Kala Parv 2024 Goa organised by Kalaakar Foundation. I am also a Council Member of WICCI Arts Haryana Council since 2022.

I like depth in my work, and each of my artworks tells a tale of its own. My soulful creations are the result of thoughtful, intricate motifs & patterns, and vibrant colours. I would be happy to create customised artworks with a blend of any art form and words written exclusively for you or your loved ones.

Welcome to my world where emotions speak in vivid forms!
