The Little Pleasures of Life

This post is in response to the prompts for Day 8 provided by Poetry 101 course of Blogging University. This day’s requirement is to write a poem on “Pleasure”  using anaphora or epistrophe. Anaphora is a poetic device that relies on the repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of each verse and epistrophe is the repetition of the same word or phrase at the end of verses.

I have used epistrophe in the below poem:

 

The exquisite sunrise with chirping birds,

The invigorating sea with covert marine world,

The starlit sky aboding colorful clouds,

The aromatic flowers with leaves abound,

These pleasures are unique,

These pleasures are invaluable!

A Day of Freedom……

Routines, responsibilities, behavior, respect, affection….Don’t we end up managing these all the time?

In our society, all these are considered as positive traits of a person.

But are you the one who is often burdened by the responsibilities?

Do you feel these are unnecessary controls that have been imposed on us?

Do you feel like setting yourself free from this bond of love and the duty that comes with it like a shadow?

Well, this thought sneaked into my mind too. Then I imagined how the world would be if we all have our own way in life…..,if we all have the liberty to do whatever we desire….Wow!! What a life would it be!!!
