Power of Money

The most dominant creation of human

Neither a robot nor a spaceship

You may think of planes and medicines

But oh dear, can they exist without me?

It’s amazing how a piece of paper

Is the supreme power in this world

It’s wondrous how human created something

That’s more valuable than himself

Some value me more than emotions

Some merit me more than life

Some worship me more than God

Which class do you fit in?

Greed, hunger, murder, poverty

Rage, failure, frustration, politics

All the negativities in this world

Can certainly be attributed to me

Imagine a world with dominion of love

Envision a world ruled by feelings

Picture a world of gratitude and selflessness

Imagine a world where man aced money!

Awesome poem and imagine where the world would go without these notes that are so handy for all humans and bring downfalls to the hilt. Great poem, Vandana.

True how money often takes over all basic values of humanity. Very well said and nicely composed poem.

Well said! Money has that power of making us its slave and ruling us and it takes a lot of will and character to understand that its just a lubricant and not the engine. Hanging money is also an art I guess. God bless you with more wealth 🙂
