NaPoWriMo Day 9: Prisoner of Time

Let’s rekindle the spirit of “Optimism”, our theme for the monthly feature , while adhering to the prompt of NaPoWriMo. Because today is the ninth day of NaPoWriMo, we have been challenged to write a nine-line poem. Here’s my offering for the day 🙂

When imprisoned by time

None willing to obey your mind

When faith is drifting away

Cynicism is all you find

Assuage your heart; bolster your mind

“I’m a winner in the making

Time to invigorate; it’s merely a turn”

Refuting all qualms assert to the world

“I stand unabated, I’m no more a hostage of time!”
