ALS NaPoWriMo Day 6: Write a poem inspired by any constellation. Which shape do you see? What do you feel about it?
Poem: The River
The tapestry of life I see dispersed across the sky
As the congregation of stars conjoins and aligns
The sky, the stars, the constellations, the galaxies
The celestial space that commands life’s sovereignty
How phenomenally the stars stage in patterns
Distant, elusive, yet guarding as custodians
I see infinite shapes in the cluster of stars
Aren’t these akin to my comrades on my path
Some lost souls that bless from far above
Some souls I might engage in my next avatar
I am enticed by the arrangement called ‘Eridanus’
A zig-zag, erratic pattern, defying shape or systematization
A celestial river, this constellation represents
The journey of souls that follow through them
A life that meanders through ebbs and flows
No dissent, no reluctance, just making its way through
Resilience sans regrets; flow sans resistance
The river of life circumventing the obstacles
A journey of experiences that ascends us through this life
Gently or forcefully, guiding us to stay blissfully alive
No patterns I wish to follow, no moulds I wish to fit in
I wish to be like a river–
Pure, persistent, unwavering and nurturing
Transparent, flexible, focused, and flowing
