NaPoWriMo Day 30: The journey concludes

by | Apr 30, 2019 | NaPoWriMo 2019, Poetry | 8 comments

The month-long writing marathon comes to end! I’m glad I was able to keep pace with the prompts. It was indeed a great journey of learning and writing discipline. Though it became challenging on certain days to pen down, but the spirit of NaPoWriMo kept us all moving. Congratulations to all who participated and an invitation to others to take the plunge next year 🙂

Here’s my concluding poem for the month!

Today’s prompt is:

And last but not least, now for our final (but still optional) prompt for this year!  I’d like you to try your hand at a minimalist poem. What’s that? Well, a poem that is quite short, and that doesn’t really try to tell a story, but to quickly and simply capture an image or emotion.

The journey concludes

As a journey comes to an end

Flickering the fire of writing in a poet

Propelling the flow of creative juices

Its learning stays forever

I trust the journey of life-

I’ve faith in its miracles,

I look forward to its lessons

I’m eager to play its games

As I believe,

Life always has beautiful plans

Surpassing my mind’s imagination

Beyond what my heart can yearn!
