Poem: The Eternal Journey
Inhale, exhale
The interminable cycle of breath
Signifying my presence as part of the living Universe
Connecting me to myself
Offering another chance in the journey to self
Moment after moment
The revolution of the incessant time wheel
Every moment–a choice
A choice to embrace the experience
A choice to treasure and live another moment
One thought after another
The endless working of the mind
Complicating and imprisoning itself
endeavouring a resolution
Does it ever cease to conceive, or rest?
One pulse, then another
The continual, rhythmic beating of the heart
It loves, it hurts, it forgives, it yearns
The ebb and flow of the ocean of emotions
Fostering a zeal for life that never dies
One lifetime followed by the other
The perpetual cycle of experiencing the Universe
Through the abundance of stars, galaxies and celestials
The awareness shrouded by the spectacle on Earth
The journey of consciousness continues
