NaPoWriMo Day 26: Little Angel

by | Apr 26, 2018 | NaPoWriMo 2018, Poetry | 6 comments

The challenge today is to write a poem that includes images that engage all five senses. Try to be as concrete and exact as possible with the “feel” of what the poem invites the reader to see, smell, touch, taste and hear.

Today is a special day for our family as we welcome the arrival of a little angel in my sister’s family. My nephew and his loving wife have been blessed with a sweet little baby girl today.

My poem today is a welcome to the new life while adhering to the prompt as well 🙂

Poem: Little angel

An angel is born

Adorning a smile

With a touch so soft

And tiny shining eyes

Adorable and charming

And looks enthralling

A lovable darling

A true sweetie pie

A magical ecstasy

Is sprinkled in the air

The aroma of a new life

Has fragranced the atmosphere

We welcome little doll

Whose gentle cries make us swirl

A reflection of her mother

And her father’s pride!
