ALS NaPoWriMo Day 24: Write a poem about a time when you dreamed of a different life in a different place.
Poem: The path that leads to self
Where myriad hues paint the sky at dusk and dawn
And the glitterati of stars envelopes my weary form
Where clouds cradle me softly in their arms
And questions about celestials don’t hover along
I wish to soak myself in the tranquillity of such a place
Where the river follows a rhythm,
gently humming a song
And carries my tired and fragmented soul along
Balancing my energies at its shore,
I wish to follow the river’s flow
I wish to float in the eternity of the stellar
To immerse in its magnanimity
To be enthralled by its grandeur
To be aligned with the source
To be one with all the creation
I wish to walk the path that leads me to myself
To imbibe, understand and practice,
“Aham Brahmasmi– I am the Universe”
Where existential questions cease to exist
Where eternity becomes a bliss!
