Poem: Let’s Nurture The Nature
Earthquakes, avalanches, volcanic eruptions–
A scream of earth
To treat her with love
To lessen her burden
To stop abusing her
Floods, Tsunamis, the rise in sea level–
The outrage of the ocean
As it watches its dying creatures
The effect of human misconduct
The exploitation of nature
Heatwaves, global warming, wildfires–
The fury of fire
For the imprudent actions of humans
For negligence of resources
For their self-indulgent behaviour
Cyclones, tornadoes, hurricanes, air pollution–
The anger of the air
Its ferociousness over industrialization
The exploitation
in the name of urbanization
Atmospheric instability, climate change–
A warning to humans
An ongoing depletion
A threat of elimination
A skewness of balance
Time to be selfless
Time to think beyond ourselves
Time to initiate a change
Time to preserve what’s left
Time to nurture the Nature
