A fascinating dream: NaPoWriMo Day4

Our prompt for the day 4 of  NaPoWriMo asks us to write a poem based on an image from a dream. Here are the glimpses of my dream 🙂

A fascinating dream

Dreams- a manifestation of our sub conscious,

Aren’t they?

My thoughts, my emotions that design my day

Cuddle me in my sleep or force me scream,

Leading me to a mesmerizing vision or a horrid dream

A reality shaping up the imagination or

An imagination striving to transform into existence

Sometimes I picture my past in my dreams,

Past- not as it actually was,

But how I wanted it to be

Well, it’s a dream, you know

So it doesn’t really listen to me

And neither does it let me speak

As I wander in the forests alone

Enthralled by nature’s beauty

In a tête-à-tête with grasslands and trees

I sense the flora like cool breeze

I gape at the beauty of valley of flowers

By metamorphosing into a vibrant bee

Oh! Please don’t wake me up yet; I’m still in my reverie

The aquatic life- pristine yet clandestine

Corals, sharks, sting ray and shell fish

Swimming along the tuna and the blue tang

I waltz with mermaids and jump with dolphin

Adoring the enormity of ocean, I’m spellbound at tranquility of marine

My dream now takes me to heights,

To experience the grey blue skies

I fly with sparrows and seagulls

As I touch the clouds in freedom

The wings- a magical experience indeed!

If only it wasn’t just a dream

If only I could explore the beauty of nature

If only the two worlds weren’t so extreme

But hey,

Dreams are a manifestation of our sub conscious, aren’t they?
