WordWise Wednesdays begins today!
Word of the Day: Pronoia
A state of mind or belief that the Universe is actively working in your favor, and the world is conspiring to support you. It is the opposite of “paranoia”.
Etymology:

- Rooted in Ancient Greek, where ‘pro’ means before, and ‘noos’ means mind or thought, it means “forethought” or “divine providence”, which is also referred to in Latin as ‘pronoea ’.
- The word gained prominence in 1982 when Dr Fred Goldner described it as a positive counterpart of paranoia, and yet delusional, though it’s considered spiritually powerful.
Insights:

It reminded me of Paulo Coelho’s quote from “The Alchemist”, which says, “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Also, the book “The Universe Has Your Back” came to my mind.
Remember, synchronicity and serendipity?
A pronoid person hopes and believes in a series of synchronicities, or serendipities!

What did it remind you of? Shahrukh Khan’s lines? Which ones?
