ALS NaPoWriMo 2026 Day 21:  What do friendships mean to you? Today, write a poem about friendship/ community. This poem might be an ode to your best friend or a poem about a group of friends. What about these relationships is special to you? What do you do with this friend or friends to maintain your relationships as you grow older?

Poem: The Mosaic of Friendship

Friends are a comfort zone you choose on your own

The ones who accept you just the way you are

No frills, no strings,

True friends don’t judge you for who you want to be

They pick up your pieces when you break or fall

Listening, cheering, ready to jump the wall

They gently strengthen you in ways unfathomable

Caressing your wounds, expunging your fears

Friends act as a mirror when you are conflicted or psyched

Helping you untangle the clutter in your mind

True friends nurture you in every walk of life

Respecting your boundaries with a smile to energize

We are all made of flaws; we have our own lacks

True friendship is the gold that glues those cracks

The journey of every life is arduous and uncertain

The mosaic of friendship embellishes its landscape
