When your world is tumbling down
And you are seething in pain
That’s when you say my name

When you want something done
And there’s no other option
That’s when you say my name

When you are losing all hope
And you look up to Him
That’s when you say my name

When your belief is shaking
And your mind cannot commit
That’s when you say my name

When someone you love
Is wrestling to live
That’s when you say my name

When fear surrounds your realm
And all you can do is scream
That’s when you say my name

When obscurity is all you see
The way last year has been
That’s when you say my name

When there’s nothing left to dream
And all you think is Thee
That’s when you say my name

A prayer,
That’s what my folks call me,
That’s what my name means
–
A request, an appeal
When you worship or plea
That’s what my name means
–
My name gives you strength,
My name possesses optimism,
My name is devotion!
