ALS NaPoWriMo 2024 Day 22 Prompt: I am the artist of my life

 

Poem: Aham Brahmasmi

 

A unique speck in this vast creation,

I am a vital piece of His divine conception

 

 

A body, heart and mind embody my soul,

To embrace this existence to the core

 

 

Fearless I am; no threats I perceive,

In this cloak of mortality, I’m here for experiences

 

 

My reality is a manifestation of all my dreams–

Dreams blessed by His eternal love stream

 

 

On the canvas of my life, I spread myriad hues,

I fall, I revive, I rejoice, I pursue

 

 

Perplexed I feel at times, in the conundrum of life,

So I redraw and reflect; I pause for a while

 

 

When the canvas sketched by life, seems out of line or shape,

I am the artist of my life, I paint my own landscape

 

 

I allow my heart to accept and envision,

I am treading gently on the path to mysticism

 

 

Divine is my soul; pure consciousness I am–

Unblemished, creative, unbounded and free

 

 

I value myself; I believe in Universe,

My inner wisdom says, “I am connected to Universe!”

 

 

“Aham Brahmasmi!” deepens my faith,

“I am Brahman, I am the Universe!” it proclaims.
